Born and raised in Kolkata India, he was introduced to photography by his father and his box camera. His passion for photography developed along side his full time job as a musician, and now these two related art forms keep him happily going!
Inspired by Ansel Adams and his zone system for lighting, he found a way of incorporating these lighting challenges and possibilities into his work.
Ritesh’s formal education in photography began in California in the mid 80s. There he assisted numerous Fashion photographers and worked in custom photo labs which were mostly tailored to this industry.
